Written examination for the admission for the 12th course of the
Institute will be conducted in the third/fourth week of January 2022.

newspapers of Punjab in the last week of November.
Admission process consists of a written exam (maths, English and
social studies; class x standard CBSE), personal interview,
communication skills (written and spoken both) and medical examination.

MRSAFPI INTRODUCTION: The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute has been established by the government of Punjab in Sector 77 Mohali. The institute commenced training with effect from April 2011.The institute aims to train selected matriculate young boys from Punjab for permanent commission into the armed forces through the National Defence Academy. The institute is designed to train 96 boys at any one time. The training period is two years. There are two batches of 48 cadets at a time getting training in the institute.
The candidates who qualify the written examination for admission to Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute, are also eligible for admission to Nishan-E-Sikhi Preparatory Institute, Khadoor Sahib (Tarn Taran) and Baba Banda Singh Bahadur College Fategarh Sahib, for which a separate intimation from the above mentioned Institute/College will be given to the candidates.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI Apply Online 2021-22 :
- The candidate should be a domicile of Punjab
- Only boys are eligible.
- The candidate’s Date of Birth refer official notification
- Studying in 10thclass
- The candidate who have already passed Class 10 and are currently studying in Class 11 may also apply provided they meet the age criteria, however such candidates will be required to repeat Class 11 if selected for admission to AFPI.
- Medically fit as per NDA requirements
- The candidate should be desirous of joining the Armed forces through the NDA
Allocation of Exam Centres for Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI Apply Online 2021-22 :
- Generally the centers are at Mohali, Jalandhar, Khadoor Sahib (Tarn Taran) and Fatehgarh Sahib.
- The Cente may be added/ cancelled depending upon the No. of Candidates available.
- The Choice of Centres will be given by the candidates in his on line application form and finally allocated by C-DAC.
- No change in allotted Centres will normally be accepted once allotted by C-DAC.
SYLLABUS & EXAM PATTERN OF Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI Apply Online 2021-22
SYLLABUS & EXAM PATTERN OF MRSAFPI – The entrance test will be conducted in two subjects – English and Mathematics. The papers will be set from the tenth class syllabus and no separate syllabus has been laid down. Candidates studying in any of the boards i.e. CBSE /ICSE / PSEB may appear in the entrance test. The question paper is objective with MCQs. The answers are to be filled on the given OMR sheet. The correct answers will be awarded 4 marks each. The wrong answers will be awarded 1 negative mark.Sample question papers are available on the website.
The Test consists of 2 sections:
- English
- Mathematics
- social studies
Note : Each right answer will carry FOUR marks and wrong answer minus ONE mark.
Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI Apply Online 2017-18 INTERVIEW PROCESS:
Interviews of candidates will be conducted after the declaration of the result of the written exam . In scheduling the dates of the interview we shall try and ensure that there is no clash with your Class 10 exam schedule. Interviews will be conducted in the Institute in Mohali. The interviews will be conducted by a team of trained officers. The team will consist of some or all of the following:-
- GTO
- interviewing officer
- Psychologist
- Director AFPI
The interview will basically comprise of a few elementary tests of intelligence and aptitude. There will be a Picture Perception & Description Test followed by a group discussion. Thereafter the candidate will appear individually before the interview board. The aim of the interview is to assess the candidate’s level of motivation, intelligence, aptitude, confidence, personality and expression. His manner of interaction in a group will also be important.
Names of candidates called for interview will be available on http://afpipunjab.org & http://recruitment-portal.in. The date shall be announced separately on the C-DAC website.
Candidates will not be informed individually about the result and interview schedule.

- Go to the Official Website ie. www.afpipunjab.org .
- Check for the desired instructions in the notification(Given Below).
- Read them carefully.
- Click on Apply Online Link websitehttp://recruitment-portal.in.
- Click on the NEW REGISTRATION.
- Then fill all the required details carefully.
- Every successful registration will be allotted a Registration No.
- Upload the latest Passport sized Photograph and Signature.
- Pay the application fee as per the category through Credit Card/Debit Card/ Net Banking.
- Submit the application form.
- Take a printout of the application form for future use.
- In case a candidate is unable to get the ‘PRINT OUT’ of the submitted form, he should retry by following the same procedure.
- The application can be filled on line only till 3rd jan 2020 upto 5.00 PM.
- The candidates will themselves be responsible for any mistakes made by them in the on line application form, Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI or C-DAC shall not be responsible or liable in any way.
- If by mistake the candidate has filled in wrong information he can correct the information upto 6th jan 2020 upto 5 00 pm by entering his registration number and password.
- After 27th Dec 2017, no editing will be permitted and thereafter information will be locked and no change will be acceptable/ allowed.

Instructions for Entrance exam Maharaja Ranjit Singh AFPI Apply Online 2019-20:
- The candidates should reach the examination centre one hour before the start of the examination.
- Candidates should bring with them BLUE or BLACK Ball
- Candidate should produce his admit card pasted with latest passport size photograph and duly attested by self alongwith Original Identity Proof (Aadhar Card/School identity Card – photocopies duly attested by Principal also required) at the examination center.
- The candidate must satisfy himself that he fulfils all the eligibility conditions for admission.
