- The applicant should be 18 years old.
- Candidates appearing for Paper 1 appear only to become teachers of students of classes 1 to 5.
- Paper 1 candidates must have passed the 12th class from any recognized board.
- After the 12th class, it is necessary to have a two-year diploma in elementary education.
- It is mandatory to secure a minimum of 45% marks in class 12th.

- Candidates appearing for Paper 1 appear only to become teachers of students of classes 1 to 5.
- Paper 1 candidates must have passed the 12th class from any recognized board.
