Phrasal verbs can be: Transitive (direct object)

Intransitive (no direct object)

Here are some examples of phrasal verbs: Transitive Phrasal Verbs

(b) Turn down (refuse) They turned down my offer.(direct object)

Intransitive Phrasal Verbs
